Double Glazed Units

Double-glazed units frequently fail which causes 'misting' in between the two panes of glass. Unfortunately it is not possible to repair your existing units. The double-glazed units in your windows are constructed from two pieces of glass separated by a silica gel filled spacer bar. The two pieces of glass are then bonded together to create an air-tight seal. When the silica gel filled spacer bar becomes saturated then the 'misting' becomes apparent.

We can replace units into aluminium, uPVC and wooden windows and doors with no disruption to your decorations.

Units replaced into aluminium and uPVC carry a 10 year manufacturers warranty and into wood a 5 year manufacturers warranty.

Units that are replaced in conservatories, patio doors, residential doors, and windows directly next to a door or closer than 1m from the floor will need to be toughened.

We can supply double-glazed units with brown, gold, white and silver spacer bars. They may also have georgian bar or diamond lead pattern. You can also choose to have patterned glass, tinted units or patterned coloured leaded units.
